As a lifeguard, you must possess the following skills:
Comfortable in and around open water with basic knowledge of safety considerations
Proficient in deep water with basic ability to use watercraft (surfboard, paddleboard, kayak)
Ability to pass lifeguard prerequisite exam (550-meter open water swim, 2-minute tread water without hands, etc.)
Experience working with or teaching children is preferred
Red Cross Certification or WSI certification preferred but not required
Must be 18+ years of age.
